"Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly All is vanity" There are also announcements and stickies at the top of the Atheros forum. Thanx this helps! The link I was talking about did not have pictures it’s was the DD-WRT wireless wiki settings page. I'm not sure how much easier to make it for people. Hey could you help me out, I’m having the same issue on my tp link archer a5, I’m getting about half of my internet speed, but on lan it’s normal, I tried setting it up according to that link you posted to the best I can understand, but unfortunately I’m a bit of a noobĬopy the settings exact where your fields match my picture.your current settings are bad. This will reveal how bad your bufferbloat is and QOS tweaking will help make you get a better score. Did you end up enabling QOS?Īlso, the best two sites to use for speedtesting are: So all in all fixed with extended wifi range(the main reason why i flashed ddwrt in the first place) it might have slower wifi card). Also checked with my new laptop and its getting speeds above 85mbps. Now with the current settings my smartphone is getting speeds between 85-90mbps and the laptop is getting 70-80mbps(maybe because its quite old. So went the old school way of resetting the router and then altering settings one by one and doing speed test on every change. Sorry for the late reply but i have finally managed to fix it.Went through that link and altered settings according to it but that was still not giving me the perfect speeds. If it's K4.x then you need to go back to a build before 12/10/17 to use K3.x K4.x builds run like shit and have poor QOS/Throughput. What Kernel version is that build running? Look on the router status page.

I have a feeling your settings are not correct.if you still have issues, post pictures of your settings.Īlso, your router version uses a SoC so I have no idea how that will limit performance, but you likely will never be able to take full advantage of the internet speed you have over wifi.
